About us

Dinosaurier-Park International is the result of 40 years experience of theme-park building and a over 20 years long successful operation of Dinosaurier-Park Münchehagen and Bernd Wolter Design GmbH.

The open-air dinosaur museum was built up with the expertise and resources of the Wesling and Wolter families and is still successfully run by the private sector today.

The museum is located in Münchehagen and is now the largest park of its kind in Europe.

This ever-evolving, charming tourist attraction and educational facility attracts many visitors from the surrounding area and especially from more distant catchment areas every year.

The open-air museum has been classified as a natural monument in recognition of its educational and scientific contribution and has been a member of the National Geographic Society since 2006.

The park in Lourinha is also part and partner of the “Oeste Aspiring UNESCO Global Geopark”.

The successful facilities in Münchehagen and Lourinha now serve as reference facilities for future projects and document the consistently high scientific standards through collaborations and large-scale multi-year projects in collaboration with state museums, universities, sites, scientists and institutions worldwide.
