Dino Parque Lourinha opened 2018, with a spectacular exhibition of 120 real scale and scientically certificated models, supplied by Dinosaurier-Park International GmbH & Co. KG. The level of quality of materials used to produce the models but also the impressive level detail, has been praised by our visitors. During the last 5 years Dino Parque has adquired a further 80 models, for different exhibitions such as „Giants of the Sea“, „lce Age“, „Big 5“ (the biggest 5 European theropods), as well as some special ones such as local finds like Miragaia, Lourinhasaurus, Lourinhanosaurus or the fantastic 45 meters Supersauros, which have become icons in our park, Dino Parque Lourinhä is now […] one of the largest open-air museums in Europe.
The quality oft he models can also been observed by the excellent condition they currently show, even ifthey have been on display outdoor for 6 years and desplte facing a considerable variation in temperature and humidity conditions natural to the Atlantic coastline, particularly under the challenging portuguese summer high temperatures. […] maintenance actions that insure the long term excellent condition of the models at a very low maintenance cost.
Since the opening, our park has received over 1.2M visitors and has been awarded several prizes such as 5 star attraction for Lisbon destination for 5 consecutive years, and more recently has been awarded best consumer’s choice for leisure attractions in lisbon region. This is only possible due to the general concept, how the park was designed and the quality of the models in the exhibition, provided by Dinosaurier-Park International GmbH & Co. KG.
